The Boileroom is our favourite live music venue, and they’ve always been good to us there. It’s not only ground zero for up and coming Guildford bands, but also an essential part of the touring circuit – as well as the local community.

I love the Boileroom. Having a local music venue of that size so close to home is ideal! It’s the perfect size to see up and coming bands before they hit the bigger venues. The Boileroom is one of our favourite venues to play as it is vibrant, draws a great music crowd, and the sound is always great. Plus, it used to be my local venue!

How did you feel when you heard about the Boileroom’s current problems?

I was sad, as I know how many lengths the staff go to to avoid any noise bleed or disruption to the local area. It would be devastating for Guildford to lose this venue too.

We’ve just toured over 60 venues across the UK and I can tell you that no other venue goes to that sort of sound bleed control set up as much as they do.

The Boileroom is our home away from home – a great venue that we love playing and love going to. As a band we cut our live teeth there, and as punters we’ve seen too many bands to count – from The Bronx to Reel Big Fish – and so many of our friends’ bands and other bands on the UK touring scene.
