Project RnL – ‘Twisted Truth’ [Review]
This song brought a Halloween-pumpkin grin to my face before the first bar was even through. As a long-time Project RnL supporter, I have to say that one of the most exciting things about this collective of ridiculously overtalented virtuosi is the fact that as amazing as they were when they first dropped into the YouTube scene years ago, they just keep getting better.
Twisted Truth takes in the following:
Jaunty piano;
Funky Dream Theater grooves;
Excellent lyrical work;
So much rhythmic complexity that just listening to the stuff is enough to make you gurn;
Flawless vocal harmonies;
Airtight production;
And truly unexpected catchiness.
Bear in mind that this is just one song – and there’s a Project RnL album on the horizon.
