Gutterfly – ‘Live The Life EP’ [Review]
Gutterfly is a man of few words, and many notes. So I’ll keep this short, and let you get stuck into the streamable tracks below.
Listening to title track Live The Life feels like climbing an Aztec pyramid and being rendered breathless by the gorgeously exotic panorama revealed at its peak.
The Truth: polyrhythmic perfection drawing the listener’s attention to fantastically fine details before dropping into grinding dub filth. Made to be played loud; if the neighbours don’t like it, they can always move house.
Overall, this EP is an efficient and mesmerising start to Gutterfly’s 2014.
