Breaking Benjamin – ‘Failure’ [Review]

When a band reaches the seventeen-year-career mark, one would expect them to become either washed out, or bloated to unsustainable excess. Happily, Breaking Benjamin are walking the rarely-mastered rock’n’roll tightrope with style on Failure, still another slab of catchy and accessible but still passionate and hard-hitting alt-metal crammed with cool riffs and chunky guitars. As a teaser of what’s to come from the band’s post-hiatus LP Dark Before Dawn, Failure is an ironically winning omen indeed.
