Black Art / Surrender The Coast – ‘Split EP’ [Review]
Writing with ears full of hardcore this…well…hardcore isn’t exactly conducive to lucid, flowing prose. There’s so much going on that it’s a miracle I managed to even breathe while listening to this split release – so here are the words that made it through the soundwaves and best summed up the experience:
Black Art – Life Stalker
Intense and energetic hardcore with raw vocals and epic beatdowns.
Total win.
Surrender The Coast – Lost Souls
Fat, sick, and brutal. Twisting rollercoaster riffs and some seriously tasty drum work. Solid and awesome.
Black Art – The Endurance
Stunning riffage with vocals reminiscent of Dillinger Escape Plan’s Greg Puciato. Relentless and captivating.
Surrender The Coast – Dreamcatcher
Made to be played live, and sure to inspire a non-stop three minute circle pit. Immense riff at 2:32 as well. Hectic as fuck. Yes.
Overall
If you’re into hardcore, you’ll love this release as much as Microsoft Word hated all those fragmented sentences.
Thanks to Lee at Saviour PR for the heads-up about this release.
