Warner Drive – ‘City Of Angels’ [Review]
Time for some scuzzy, nasty rock! Warner Drive are straight-ahead, no-nonsense rockers with little time for extra frills – but sometimes you just need something that tempts your heart and body away from the constant controlling of the rational mind.
More than anything else, Warner Drive are a gigging, touring, hard-working act – and each cut here is precisely tuned to go over live from note one. Solid songs and tour-honed tightness, fat riffs and classic structural formulas all combine to create an unstoppable tidal wave that no gig-going punter has a hope in hell of escaping. Warner Drive know exactly what they want – and as their ever-expanding tour schedule shows, they’re already getting it.
If fun means anything to you, pick up a copy of City Of Angels the moment it drops on this side of the pond.
City Of Angels is out tomorrow in the UK & EU.
