Boss Keloid – ‘Melted On The Inch’ (Album Review)
If your favourite bands have always been acquired tastes, prepare to meet the next one. If you automatically love music that makes you think “what the actual fuck” before you realise you just said it out loud, Boss Keloid’s third full-length will satisfy you more than a month spent indoors with a mountain of newly legal Viagra and a Pornhub subscription.
If you love Nicki Minaj and desperately want One Direction to reform…what are you even doing here? Here is your escape hatch. Use it.
Boss Keloid have really gone to town on Melted On The Inch. So many apparently disparate ingredients (from sludgy filth to funk, 70s prog, Pearl Jam’s unique style of grunging, reggae, and even tribal percussion) have been blended into Boss Keloid’s signature doom-laden riffage that you’re either going to have an aneurysm, or fall to your knees and weep with joy. As clichéd and usually wrong as the following statement is, this is absolutely unique.
If your neighbours hate loud music, crank up some Boss Keloid and push the speakers against the wall. It’ll scare the shit out of them so badly that they might just move out.
LTK RATING: 95% (Essential Listening!)
