Into Color – ‘Brothers’ [Review]

into color press 1This is incredible. Very, very few tunes stun me rigid from beat one – but when the rhythms are as tasteful and complex as they are on this track, I’m powerless to resist.

On Brothers, Into Color blend mathy progressive complexity with solid pop songwriting skills and hooks aplenty. Frankly, this is nothing short of stunning. The only downside is that Into Color are based in Los Angeles.

Here in the UK, we have a seriously incredible alt-pop / rock scene increasingly crammed with brilliant acts. DorjeSignals, Atiptoe, Jamie Lenman, and many more hardworking talents are all busy making this country proud – and now it seems they have some international competition. Well, with any luck it won’t be long before Into Color show their faces on this side of the pond and team up with their British peers to melt our music-loving populace’s collective faces.

The venues (including, as regular TMMP readers will know, The Boileroom in Guildford) and potential support acts are here in abundance. All that’s needed is some logistical work and a plane trip…
