Dani Rosenoer – ‘Whoa Whoa Yeah’ [Review]

Given his day job as live keyboardist and backing vocalist for alt-metal titans Three Days Grace, it’s safe to say that Dani Rosenoer is a busy guy. It’s equally safe to say that he can hold his own as a world-class musical talent; and Whoa Whoa Yeah, despite its (ironically?) clichéd title, simply serves to cement this assumption as a stone cold fact.
This track is a real musical melting pot – and thus a very appropriate song to be featured on this blog. Acoustic-driven wistfulness blends with dirty electronics and a heavily distorted hook, all held together with a distinct air of professional discipline and playfulness. This attitude also extends to the video below (which reminds me of Incubus’ live DVD Look Alive). Creativity and fun – what more could you need?
